B17 Tour Stop at Lost Nation Airport
JOIN THE FLIGHT! Lost Nation Airport will be host to the Aluminum Overcast B-17 Bomber. During its national tour, The aircraft, known as The Flying Fortress, will be open to the public daily from 10 am to 5 pm in Willoughby, Ohio September 6-8, 2019. At the weekend event the public can purchase tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime flight experience, tour the aircraft's compartments like the nose, bomb bay, and other sections and see WWII memorabilia.
Lunch concessions will be available daily and a delicious pancake breakfast will be served up by the members of the Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 5 on Saturday and Sunday from 8-11 am. Jack Pelton, EAA Chairman said "It is more than the flight of a historic aircraft - it is an emotional connection to the men and women who were part of the Greatest Generation and the sacrifices they made to benefit us in subsequent generations.
