Ohio Ethics Law Training
The Ohio Ethics Commission promotes ethics in public service to strengthen the public's confidence that government business is conducted with impartiality and integrity. This session will provide timely information regarding restrictions in the Ohio Ethics Law and related statutes that pertain to all public servants - including public employees as well as elected and appointed public officials. Private sector parties who are regulated or who do business with public offices are encouraged to attend as well. This program will also be of interest to members of the general public -- anyone who is eager to do the right thing! Join us at Lakeland to learn: * How to identify and avoid acting on potential conflicts of interest * The definition of public contracts and ethics prohibitions related to public contracts * How to identify potential post-employment requirements * What general assistance is available from the Ohio Ethics Commission to understand and comply with the Ethics Law and related statutes This session meets the requirements of the Governor's Executive Order pertaining to Ethics training for state officials and employees. **There is no fee, but pre-registration is necessary. **
