Help Build the Voice of a Company That Builds Automation.
Steven Douglas Corp. designs and builds custom automation machines that solve complex manufacturing challenges. We’re looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Specialist to own our social presence and tell the story of the people, projects, and technology behind SDC.
This isn’t a “schedule the posts and move on” role. You’ll develop the strategy, create the content, work with leadership and engineers, capture photos and video, engage with our audience, and use performance data to make it better.
What You’ll Do
*Own social strategy and content across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Reddit.
*Create posts, graphics, carousels, Reels, Shorts, Stories, and videos.
*Capture content on the shop floor, at events, and with our team.
*Turn complex engineering and automation topics into engaging stories.
*Build thought leadership for SDC and key company leaders.
*Manage publishing, engagement, and community interaction.
*Track performance and continuously improve our content strategy.
*Stay current on social trends, SEO, AEO, AIO, GEO, and emerging platforms.
What We’re Looking For
*Professional social media management experience.
*Strong writing and storytelling skills.
*Experience with Canva, Sprout Social, or similar tools.
*Strong understanding of LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Reddit.
*Short-form video creation and editing experience.
*Comfortable taking photos and video independently.
*Organized, creative, and able to manage multiple priorities.
*Comfortable working directly with executives, engineers, and technical experts.
*Able to make technical information interesting and easy to understand.
Manufacturing, engineering, automation, or B2B experience is a plus—but not required.
