PSA, June 19, 2026

I hope this warning will save someone the headaches I’ve experienced over the past couple weeks. On June 3, 2026 a Facebook notification indicated an unknown person to me had accepted my Friend request. I went to the New Friend profile to see the person, I guess, was from the Middle East. This person’s profile displayed the FB button to “Unfriend” which I clicked. That’s when all this started. I received two messages from FB: 1 - My account was closed due to suspicious activity, 2 - My account was suspended for violating their Terms Of Service (TOS).

I spent the next 4 or 5 days trying every account recovery method I could find. At one point any FB URL I attempted, sent my browser “Looping” in an attempt to connect. Now I was cut off from FB. Because this was moving outside of my pea-brained wheelhouse, I contacted Tony Brooks at TERKK’s Computer Plus. Tony and his staff said they’d never seen an account so violated. After many days of attempted recovery, on June 18, 2026 the direction was obvious. Create a new account and try to recover any of the almost 900 Friends I had. 900 Friends GONE!

Lessons learned:

Never click anything not on your account profile. I can’t even say this is an answer?
There is NO way to connect with any human tech support at FB.
We are hanging out here on FB with almost no support!
